Study Abroad, Second Half

Well this post is to discuss my second study abroad experience, which was this past summer in London. The program I chose was the CAPA London program, which integrates experience based education through a prearranged internship with an in-classroom setting as well.


As a Language and International Trade major, an internship in a foreign country was required to graduate. I had tried to find an internship on my own but eventually landed on the CAPA program for its convenience.…

Study Abroad, First Half

Well I've studied abroad twice in my time here at Oswego (so far!) and I have to say it was the best decisions I made at the is school, asides from declaring a French major. =)


My first formal abroad program was the Rome program. It is a 4-week summer program hosted by SUNY Oswego and all the information is readily available at the Study Abroad office in Sheldon Hall. Dr. Alessia, head of the Italian department, accompanies the entire group- consisting of about 40 students…

Study Abroad Paris, Sorbonne

So I guess I probably should have posted this a year or so ago, but this is my response to the SUNY program through La Sorbonne. I went abroad the spring of 2008 and well I definitely learned a lot.



The program itself was run through SUNY Oswego when I went and that is where I encountered most of the problems I had. French visa policies had just changed and even though the administration knew about most of the changes they failed to inform their students about some of the problems… Continue
